Staged every alternate year for the last 22 years, The Wine Farmers & Fruit Growers Exhibition is the largest Agro/Industrial exhibition in the Western Cape, and is regarded as the leader in technology exhibitions for the wine, fruit and fruit juice industries in The Southern Hemisphere.
At the end of the 2011 exhibition held at The CTICC, the organizers had a market research survey conducted by an Independent Market research company. The results were overwhelming. The exhibition should move into the “winelands” and preferably Stellenbosch/Paarl. The show should also go back to it’s previous name – The Wine Farmers and Fruit Growers Exhibition.
Exhibitors include manufacturers and suppliers of a diversified range of agricultural products and wine making equipment and services, from soil to the packaged product at the end of the line en route to its final destination.
Visitors will be targeted from wine producers and fruit farmers of Southern Africa and attract over 5 000 winemakers, fruit farmers and brand managers, as well as exporters and marketers of both wine and fruit products.
The new venue will be – Sandringham Estate which is just off the N1 at the Stellenbosch Turnoff at exit 39 (R304). Sandringham has all the facilities one could wish for in a show such as this – proximity to marketplace, acres of free parking, a huge footprint allowing for large marquee infrastructure and enough outdoor space to satisfy exhibitors and visitors for years to come.
Wine Farmers & Fruit Growers will be under state of the art Marquees with glass frontage, air conditioned and carpeted flooring to allow for a world class exhibition that it is. This exhibition promises to live up to its former glory in that it will once again be the largest technology trade fair for the wine & fruit industries in The Southern Hemisphere. Olive farmers will also be targeted so as to have a fully inclusive 1 stop exhibition for all these markets. The new dates for 2013 are Tuesday 15th to Thursday 17th October.
The Exhibition embraces the latest available techniques and technology and works in close collaboration with various associations and institutions that regulate the wine and fruit industries.
Once again a conference will be hosted by WineLand Publications within the exhibition area over the 3 days of the exhibition.
